My name’s Doug, and I’m the guitarist/songwriter/doer of splits in a little funk band called Raspberry Pie.
RP has existed for a little over 10 years now, but in the last 5 years alone we’ve released an EP, two live albums, a studio LP, gone on about a dozen successful tours, and played major conventions, from Dragon Con in Atlanta, to PAX East in Boston. We’ve also opened for The Living Tombstone on multiple occasions, AND played a music festival for congressman Maxwell Frost!
Solid question! Getting your name out there as an indie band is HARD, and while we’re on Spotify, it’s not exactly our favorite music platform, given we make a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a cent every time someone streams our music.
Plus, getting a groovy little package from a band just feels way more personal than sending someone a Spotify link! I also like writing personalized thank you notes to anyone that grabs a CD as an added way of saying thanks.
Even after the last 3 paragraphs of lore dumping, you’re still spending money (albeit, only about $5 for shipping) on a band you’re relatively unfamiliar with, but for what it’s worth…
All 5 tracks are certified bangers, the album art is this cool, 90s retro aesthetic, and it’s made for repeat listens.
You’ll know it was me that signed, packed, and shipped the album to you. No record label, no middleman, just a guy that super appreciates you taking the time to listen to our music.
Pin ’em to your clothes, pin ’em to your backpack, or pin ’em anywhere you want an increase in funk by at least 80%. All the primary colors are here! Don’t even @ me with green.
Barring a major natural disaster, once you spend your five-ish dollars on shipping, your brand new, signed CD and free sticker will be on their way to you within a week. Also, if you just don’t dig the album for whatever reason, we’ll gladly refund the cost of shipping within 30 days, no questions asked.
Also, props to ya for making it to the bottom of the page. Hopefully we’ll get to ship a CD to you soon!
